The Catholic Volunteer Movement (CVM) was established in 2006, born out of regular discussions by members of the League of the Kingship of Christ, as to a practical application of the Social Teaching of the Catholic Church. It was decided that the corporal works of mercy would be a powerful antidote to the spirit of the world and mobilize Traditional Catholics into Catholic action. The first soup kitchen was in Canterbury and has now expanded into Winchester. We not only help to feed, water, cloth and provide a listening ear to nearly 50 homeless and poor every month, but also hand out green scapulars, medals and rosaries and where possible discuss the Faith.
